Job Title: Shop Foreman

Central Processing Corporation is seeking a skilled Shop Foreman to join our team at County Materials Corporation in Janesville, WI.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced and organized individual to oversee the daily workflow and schedules of shop employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel mechanics and excellent leadership skills.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily workflow and schedules of shop employees.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Schedule up to 10 mechanics daily and plan and coordinate tasks and activities of the company fleet auto repair shop.
  • Prepare maintenance schedules for motor vehicles and heavy equipment and notify drivers and operators when maintenance is to be performed.
Work Environment

The Shop Foreman will work in an indoor and outdoor environment, exposed to various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures. The individual will also work near moving machinery and equipment, which may pose electrical hazards.

Physical Requirements
  • Sitting for extended periods.
  • Carrying and lifting heavy objects.
  • Standing, walking, and climbing.
  • Squatting, crouching, kneeling, and bending.
  • Pushing, pulling, and reaching above shoulder level.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in diesel mechanics or a related field.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent mechanical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Extensive knowledge of gas and diesel-powered engine repair.
  • Extensive knowledge of vehicle, truck, and heavy equipment repair.
  • Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues.
  • Ability to read service and repair manuals.
  • Hand and power tool experience.
  • Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
