About the Role

As a CT Technologist at Providence St. Mary Medical Center, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients. Under the direction of the department Director/Manager or Lead and the medical direction of the Radiologists, you will perform all phases of cross-sectional imaging using CT scanners to produce cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues.

Responsibilities
  • Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' internal organs and tissues.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including positioning and immobilizing them as needed.
  • Administer contrast media as required for imaging procedures.
  • Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond to any adverse reactions.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited radiologic training program.
  • Washington Radiologic Technologist certification.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification.
  • National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification.
  • Within 1 year of hire, National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography or National Computed Tomography Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board certification.
  • 6 months of CT scanning experience as an ARRT(R) registered technologist.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year of CT scanning experience as an ARRT(R)(CT) registered technologist.
