Network Configuration Management Specialist

About the Role
This role will be responsible for supporting the installation and maintenance of client LAN/WAN devices, creating and maintaining an up-to-date record of system components, and responding to incident tickets. Additionally, you will establish and maintain consistency of system performance, functions, and physical attributes with requirements, design, and operational information. You will also draft and implement standard network change requests, coordinate with external stakeholders, and develop policy for documenting and changing baseline project configuration items.
The successful candidate will have 10 years of experience in a related field, with a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 3 years, master's and 4 years, bachelor's and 6 years, associates and 8 years, or HS diploma and 10 years. The candidate must also have Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, the candidate must have:
• Experience with Layer 1 and Layer 2 network protocols
• Knowledge of CISCO/Juniper RMA process
• Familiarity with Layer 3 protocols such as OSPF, BGP, VRRP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, GRE
• Familiarity with Visio, ServiceNow, and Confluence
• Ability to utilize complex network analysis tools to identify and correct problems in the network
