We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to join our team at St Michael Medical Center. This travel contract offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals, providing top-notch care to patients in Washington.
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing, with expertise in titrating drips and centralized Tele experience. You will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and maintaining accurate records.
This role requires flexibility, as you will need to work varied shifts, including every other weekend and one winter/one summer holiday per year. Additionally, you may be required to participate in standby rotations, but call is not guaranteed. Floating within Region III will incur additional pay of $20/hour.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing individualized patient care, considering their unique needs and circumstances
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement effective care plans
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Titrating drips, including insulin and pain medications
- Validating Tele strips and monitoring patient responses

About the Job
This medical-surgical position at St Michael Medical Center in Washington requires the following qualifications:
- Active BLS, ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of M/S experience
- Tele experience
- Ability to titrate drips
- Centralized Tele experience
You will be working on a unit that typically cares for solid tumor and blood cancer patients, with occasional medical/surgical overflow. The shift schedule is 7a-730p, with self-scheduling/fill open shifts. Your duties will involve scrubbing in for procedures and ensuring proper patient care.
