Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description

At UAB Medical West, we are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting physicians during exams and obtaining nuclear images for interpretation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians during exams and obtain nuclear images for interpretation
  • Maintain high quality of professionalism in dealing with patients
  • Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program
  • Current certification in good standing with NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) or certification eligible post graduation from a Nuclear Medicine program
  • Basic computer skills or a willingness to learn data input and order entry information
  • BCLS and ACLS certification required

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program
  • Current certification in good standing with NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) or certification eligible post graduation from a Nuclear Medicine program
  • BCLS and ACLS certification required
