Job Summary

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Nurse Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for coordinating clinical research projects and drug trials, implementing research protocols, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate clinical research projects and drug trials
  • Implement research protocols
  • Responsible for IRB submissions and assist with clinical trial budget negotiation and payment reconciliation
  • Collect patient data, including medical histories and physical assessments
  • Assess patients for qualification/enrollment in research projects and subject groups and monitor patient assessments
  • Collect and review lab results, monitor results for adverse reactions
  • Maintain and enter data into databases/logs in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure all protocol and regulatory standards adherence
  • Perform specialized nursing duties such as phlebotomy, EKG, and process of lab kits
  • Administer treatment and/or medication in accordance with research protocol
  • Assist with surgeon to collect, prepare, and process lab specimens
  • Supervise and train trainees working with teaching clinicians (fellows, resident, medical students)
  • Collaborate with multiple investigators, sponsors, and other research staff
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • 2 years of experience in clinical research
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
