Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Provide Quality Nursing Care: Administer medications, perform treatments, and document patient information in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Lead and Guide Nursing Assistants: Supervise and train nursing assistants to ensure they are providing the best possible care to our patients.
  • Collaborate with Physicians: Assist physicians with rounds, physical examinations, and treatments as needed.
  • Maintain Infection Control Measures: Adhere to all regulations and guidelines related to cleanliness, infection control, and Standard/Universal Precautions.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives: Assist with research and quality improvement projects related to nursing care.
  • Coordinate Patient Care: Assist with records, orders, and assessment of new admissions, as well as scheduling patients' annual physicals.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse License: Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • Education and Certification: Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing and CPR certified.
  • Geriatric Nursing Experience: Genuine interest in geriatric nursing and ability to provide quality care to patients.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work well with patients, families, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Decision-Making and Problem-Solving: Ability to make decisions regarding nursing problems and take responsibility for errors and incompetence.
