About the Role
The NNL Core Materials, Manufacturing, and Irradiations Department seeks an experienced engineer to design future irradiations experiments and capabilities. You will work with our team to develop the technical basis for these designs and contribute to initial planning and concepts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a well-documented technical basis for irradiations experiments and capabilities
- Collaborate on a cross-functional team to evaluate chemical, thermal, and nuclear characteristics needed for the future testing environment
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or science-related field and 6 years of experience; or Master's degree and 4 years of experience; or PhD degree and 1 year of experience. Alternatively, relevant certifications and qualifications may be considered.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
A degree in nuclear, chemical, mechanical, or materials engineering or materials science is preferred. Experience with irradiations testing at the Advanced Test Reactor is also desirable.

Pay Range
$92,900 - $145,200 annually. Salary is based on candidate experience and qualifications.
