Job Title: Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer

Job Summary:

Sutter Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics.

Responsibilities:

  • Competently perform diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics.
  • Responsible for all commonly performed echocardiography procedures in the department with a high level of competence.
  • Perform transesophageal echocardiograms with or without three-dimensional imaging.
  • Perform intraoperative transesophageal echocardiograms.
  • Perform structural heart procedures in the cardiac cath lab.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited Cardiac Sonography Program.
  • OR Graduation from an accredited formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or equivalent education that meets the credentialing requirement pathway.
  • RCS (CCI)-Registered Cardiac Sonographer.
  • OR ARDMS (RDCS AE for adult or RDCS PE for pediatric).
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intermediate knowledge of diagnostic cardiac sonography principles, procedures, and views.
  • Proficient in performing cardiac sonographic examinations with a solid understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and related information systems (Radiology (RIS), laboratory (LIS), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and picture archive and communication system (PACS)).

Work Environment:

This position includes travel to support surrounding clinics.

Pay Range is $62.95 to $78.67 / hour.

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.
