Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Designer to join our team at System One. As a key member of our Transportation Business Unit, you will be responsible for maintaining computer-aided design (CAD) filing structures and developing detailed, high-quality construction plans.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and maintain CAD models and engineering drawings to support projects within the Transportation Business Unit and other teams as required.
  • Collaborate with engineers and clients to ensure accurate and timely delivery of project specifications.
  • Perform maintenance of CAD files in response to engineering changes.
  • Interface with other engineers to verify that data pertaining to project specifications is documented accurately.
  • Develop layouts, engineering drawings, drawing details, and assemble drawings as required.

**Requirements**

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in roadway design.
  • Knowledgeable in MicroStation and familiar with roadway design software such as InRoads and OpenRoads Designer.
  • Familiarity with Bentley ProjectWise collaboration software is a plus.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and able to perform hands-on troubleshooting efforts and field investigations.
