Pharmacy Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Intern to join our team at Bronson Healthcare. As a Pharmacy Intern, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and gain valuable experience in the field of pharmacy.

• Perform technical tasks similar to those performed by Unit Dose Technicians and IV Admixture Technicians.
• Screen physician orders, enter orders into the computer system, and complete complex tasks in the IV Room under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Work closely with licensed pharmacists to ensure accurate and efficient medication management.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of pharmaceuticals, including calculations, compatibilities, and patient teaching.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, nurses, and physicians.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and enrollment in an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Pharmacy Intern license in good standing with the State of Michigan.
• Familiarity with computers, pharmaceutical math skills, and communication skills for dealing with co-workers, nurses, and physicians.

This position involves regularly lifting of bulky or moderately heavy weights (i.e., up to 50 pounds), and occasionally assisting with heavier tasks or expending the equivalent effort in pushing, pulling, or otherwise handling material, equipment, and other objects.
