Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Technician to join our team at Toyoda Gosei Texas. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing mold repairs, troubleshooting, and testing of molding tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mold Repair and Maintenance
    • Perform mold repairs by welding using MIG, TIG, and Laser Welding techniques.
    • Read and accurately interpret documentation such as blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical specifications.
    • Troubleshoot and diagnose molding tool issues using actual parts and schematics.
  • Equipment Setup and Operation
    • Set up equipment by studying mold requirements, materials, tolerances, and machine capabilities.
    • Verify quality by measuring results using precision instruments.
  • Preventative Maintenance and Quality Control
    • Coordinate and plan preventative and predictive maintenance with production to minimize downtime.
    • Identify and report abnormalities to improve operations.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Establish and maintain relationships with qualified suppliers and vendors.
    • Collaborate with production team members to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Previous mold making experience and CAD/CAM knowledge preferred.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Solid experience in molding and tool room equipment operation.
    • Ability to read, interpret precision measuring equipment.
    • Good language skills and strong analytical and math skills.
    • Effective interpersonal skills, group leadership skills, and training skills.
  • Physical Demands
    • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Must have valid driver's license, clean driving record, and dependable means of transportation.
Working Conditions

This is a night shift position, and the ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, is required.
