Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse - Disease Management Specialist to join our team at the 1st Special Operations Medical Group Clinic at Hurlburt Field Air Force Base.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in infection prevention and control to provide services at our clinic. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in infection prevention and control, with a strong understanding of epidemiologic principles and statistical methods.
Responsibilities:- Implement the MTF IPCP IAW AFI 44-108, Infection Prevention and Control Program.
- Perform an annual self-inspection to determine if there is sufficient evidence of MTF's compliance or noncompliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality/performance improvement (PI) and patient safety (PS) activities related to IPC.
- Apply epidemiologic principles and statistical methods to break the chain of infection and improve IPC efforts.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, or Microbiology from a nationally recognized accredited college program.
- Minimum of five years of current experience in infection prevention and control performed within the past four years.
- Full-time position with a Monday - Friday schedule.
