Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Independent Living Coach to join our team at Spread Your Wings, LLC. As an Independent Living Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to achieve their goals and live independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Support: Provide one-on-one support and guidance to clients to help them develop and maintain independent living skills, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Case Management: Manage a caseload of clients, develop and implement individualized support plans, and monitor progress towards goals.
  • Training and Education: Provide training and education to clients on various life skills, such as budgeting, time management, and communication.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with clients, family members, and other support staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of services.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, or a related field.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual in Spanish, experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques, and knowledge of disability support services.
