Machine Assembly Technician

International Staff Consulting is seeking a skilled Machine Assembly Technician to join our team in a manufacturing environment. As a Machine Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for building machines, equipment, and their subassemblies, following mechanical layouts and general assembly layouts, and adhering to written and verbal specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build machines, equipment, and subassemblies according to mechanical layouts and general assembly layouts
  • Recognize problems with designs and parts and take corrective actions
  • Recommend improvements for area products and processes
  • Perform prototype work with limited engineering and supervision
  • Demonstrate flexibility in high-stress situations and emergency situations
  • Train new employees and participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts
  • Develop special tooling capabilities
  • Assist in machine setups in the field
  • Produce high-quality work
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
Work Environment:

This position is located in a manufacturing environment, where you may be occasionally exposed to moving equipment, mechanical parts in motion, risk of shock, and other hazards associated with a manufacturing environment.
