Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Early Childhood Education Program Coordinator to join our team at Oswegoland Park District. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a comprehensive curriculum for preschool-aged children, working closely with the Preschool Coordinator, and managing classroom behavior and program practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a curriculum aligned with the developmental stages of preschool-aged children
  • Collaborate with the Preschool Coordinator to ensure seamless program delivery
  • Manage classroom behavior and program practices in accordance with Oswegoland Park District guidelines
  • Supervise and direct the work of the preschool Teacher Assistant
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • High school graduate with a valid diploma and 21 years of age, with 60 hours of college credits, 6 credits of which are in Early Childhood Education
  • One year experience working with preschool age children, with a special knowledge of children's physical, emotional, and social developmental patterns
  • Acquire CPR/AED and First Aid certification and maintain current certification
  • Complete a minimum of 15 hours continuing education credits per preschool year
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances
  • Statement acknowledging mandated reporter of child abuse status
  • Understand and exhibit behavior consistent with stated values of the Oswegoland Park District
  • Knowledge of DCFS guidelines ages 2-5
  • Level 1 ECE and/or Level 1 director qualified or ability to obtain certificate
Compensation

$19.00/hour
