Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our care team at SR COMPANIES LLC. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to residents, including administering medications, assisting with activities of daily living, and responding to their needs in a timely and compassionate manner.
  • Supervise and mentor non-licensed nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of exceptional care.
  • Participate in the evaluation of non-licensed staff, providing feedback and coaching to promote professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date resident records, including medication administration records and progress notes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of strategies to enhance resident care and satisfaction.
  • Provide education and training to residents and their families on various topics, including medication management, wound care, and disease prevention.
  • Assist with the coordination of resident transfers, including arranging transportation and ensuring a smooth transition to the new facility.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to resident care, including infection control and medication management.
  • Collaborate with the activities department to develop and implement activities that promote resident engagement and satisfaction.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to residents and their families, responding to their needs in a compassionate and empathetic manner.
Requirements
  • Valid Florida nursing license
  • One to two years of experience in a long-term care setting
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
