Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, demonstrating an understanding of industry trends, identifying client challenges, and proactively communicating potential solutions.
  • Oversee staff on engagement deliverables, including financial statements, tax returns, and work papers; conduct technical and strategic reviews to ensure quality control standards are upheld and deliverables are on time and within budget.
  • Exhibit proficient technical skills in managing all client responsibilities, including awareness of industry trends and alternatives.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the client's organization, processes, and internal policies.
  • Drive new client development in collaboration with senior management; engage in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development.
  • Manage and maintain multiple client relationships, engagements, and special projects.
  • Develop and oversee overall engagement budgets.
  • Consistently achieve charge hour goals.
  • Handle billing and realization for assigned clients, providing explanations for any variances.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor junior staff, fostering effective communication.
  • Promote a collaborative team environment, supporting management decisions and cultivating a positive workplace culture.
  • Engage in practice development activities that generate new business opportunities and facilitate cross-service initiatives.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
  • Experience at a Top 50 Accounting Firm.
  • Familiarity with Private Equity backed portfolio companies.
  • Knowledge of C-Corps, ASC 740, Partnerships, and LLCs.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in public accounting or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Active CPA or equivalent certification is required.
  • Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements effectively.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in verbal and written communication across all organizational levels.
  • Willingness to travel based on client and business needs.
  • Proficient in the use of relevant technology.
