As a Surgical Technologist with Catholic Health Initiatives, you will play a vital role in ensuring the operating room is prepared for surgical procedures. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will make a significant difference in the care we provide to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures by ensuring equipment is functioning properly and safely.
  • Prepare the operating room and the sterile field for surgical procedures by preparing sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment using sterile technique.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy and pathophysiology and how it relates to the patient and surgical procedure.
  • Anticipate usual and unexpected events during the surgical procedure and respond in an efficient manner.
  • Handle and process surgical specimens according to established policy/procedure.
  • Serve as a preceptor in training and orientation of fellow staff members and students.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Certification in Surgical Technology preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
