Job Description- We are seeking a skilled RN to join our team as a Staff Nurse (PH). In this role, you will be responsible for assessing patients based on interview, chart review, and referrals from other healthcare team members. You will also collect data on patients receiving care in the clinic and assist the MD with examinations.
- As a RN, you will educate and teach patients based on diagnosis and need, initiate appropriate nursing interventions, and update medical records via progress notes as needed. You will also provide counseling and teaching for clinic patients and their families/significant others who are new or referred by the physician.
- You will triage patients who present to the clinic without appointments, make appropriate referrals, communicate with physicians or other healthcare members as indicated, and report findings to the Head Nurse/Charge Nurse as needed.
- Assess patients based on interview, chart review, and referrals from other healthcare team members.
- Collect data on patients receiving care in the clinic and assist the MD with examinations.
- Educate and teach patients based on diagnosis and need.
- Initiate appropriate nursing interventions and update medical records via progress notes as needed.
- A valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
- Holds, or obtains through facility orientation, a valid and current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
