Job Title: Team Manager

Developmental Services, Inc. (DSI) is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Team Manager to join our Community Living team.

Job Summary:

The Team Manager will be responsible for supervising direct care staff and coordinating the day-to-day activities and maintenance of the group home. This role requires excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise direct care staff to ensure the implementation of individualized program plans for each client.
  2. Train staff in all programs, using a variety of methods, including lectures, role modeling, and written materials.
  3. Coordinate the delivery of training and rehabilitation services to clients.
  4. Monitor the implementation of individualized program plans and follow up with clients as needed.
  5. Schedule and chair interdisciplinary staff meetings to review program progress and make adjustments as necessary.
  6. Oversee file maintenance and record keeping for clients.
  7. Participate in recreational, therapeutic, and training activities with clients.
  8. Serve as a liaison between clients, families, staff, and the community.
  9. Safeguard clients' human and civil rights.
  10. Maintain medications and ensure adequate supplies are available.
  11. Assist clients with budgeting and financial management.
  12. Maintain a safe and sound environment for clients.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in a human service field preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. At least one year of experience working with the MR/DD population, preferably in a residential setting.
  3. Must be capable of obtaining and maintaining certification in CPR, First Aid, and NCI, and performing these duties as necessary.
  4. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  5. Maintain a valid Indiana driver's license and insurance on personal vehicle.
