Job Summary:

Soliant is seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students within our diverse and vibrant school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct Thorough Assessments: Evaluate students' speech and language abilities, identifying areas of strength and areas needing intervention.
  2. Develop Individualized Treatment Plans: Tailor treatment plans to address the specific communication needs of each student, incorporating evidence-based practices and innovative approaches.
  3. Implement Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, fostering skill development and functional communication.
  4. Collaborate with Educators and Parents: Work closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic progress and social-emotional well-being.
  5. Monitor Progress and Adjust Plans: Continuously monitor students' progress through ongoing assessment and data collection, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  6. Maintain Accurate Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, progress notes, and billing records in compliance with state and district guidelines.
  7. Participate in IEP Meetings: Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing valuable input to develop effective educational plans for students.
  8. Stay Current with Industry Trends: Stay informed about current research, best practices, and emerging trends in the field of speech-language pathology, continuously enhancing professional knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

  1. Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology: A masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
  2. Active Licensure: Active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of New Jersey.
  3. Certification: Certification from the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) as a Speech-Language Specialist or eligibility for certification.
  4. Certificate of Clinical Competence: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility to obtain.
  5. Strong Understanding of Educational Policies: A strong understanding of educational policies, procedures, and regulations related to special education services.
  6. Excellent Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  7. Preferred Experience: Preferred experience working in educational settings and serving diverse student populations.
