Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Nurse Manager in ensuring that quality nursing care is delivered to all patients and their families.
- Develop and implement patient care standards, orientation, and continuing education programs.
- Participate in nursing Quality Improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of unit-based committees.
- Provide input into the evaluation of staff performance and assist with unit administration, including scheduling, payroll, and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum of 3-5 years NICU experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Goal and outcome-oriented.
- Demonstrated leadership and/or Charge Nurse experience.
- Successful completion of all orientation programs.
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- NRP certification.
Scheduling Requirements:
- Full-time.
- Evening shift.
- 6:30P-7:30A.
- 37.5 hours weekly.
- May be required to work on call, weekends, and holidays.
