The Senior Safety Operations Manager will play a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness of our advanced manufacturing facility. This position focuses on ensuring adherence to safety regulations, preventing workplace accidents, and managing post-incident procedures. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader who is enthusiastic about fostering a culture of safety and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dynamic leadership to instill a safety-first mindset throughout the facility while striving for ongoing Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) improvements.
- Effectively manage changes to meet all safety requirements.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and spearhead the application of effective control measures to mitigate risks.
- Oversee the incident investigation process, including root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Enhance the capabilities of site personnel through strong employee relations, coaching, mentoring, and training initiatives.
- Direct the execution of the site's Annual Safety Operations Plan and Safety Action Plans, including overseeing budgetary considerations.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, accompanied by over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in safety within a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Experience: Background in safety management within the mattress manufacturing sector or similar consumer goods industries.

- A collaborative team player who is adaptable and possesses a broad perspective.
- Advanced knowledge of EHS regulations and safety compliance requirements.
