Job Title: Associate Calibration Lab Technician

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, performs routine and complex work related to the assembly, repair, and calibration of test and measurement equipment. Performs the verification of force standards used within the field service organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Calibrates force transducers in Instron's in-house force laboratory.
  • Assemble, repair, and distribute calibration equipment to the field service organization.
  • Maintains proper filing system to ensure documentation for Force Standards.
  • Assists in the creation and validation of work instructions required to support both in-house and field calibration activities.
  • Assists in maintaining a clean work environment by participating in good housekeeping activities within the laboratory.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or 5 years of related experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate/use general hand and power tools, instruments, and testing apparatus common to the electronic and instrumentation fields.
  • Good mathematical skills and the ability to communicate and work in a highly effective team environment.
  • Familiarity with the operation of both electromechanical and servo-hydraulic testing systems and be capable of adjustment/repair of the Load Weighing system.
