Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Physician to join our team at Kings County Hospital. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in reviewing and signing out surgical pathology biopsies, excision, and resection cases, prioritizing malignant cases, and participating in quality assurance activities.
Responsibilities:
- Review and sign out surgical pathology biopsies, excision, and resection cases.
- Review and sign out cytopathology cases.
- Prioritize malignant cases and submit all first-time malignant cases for daily intradepartmental consensus conference for peer review and concordance.
- Complete cases within the required turnaround time (TAT) at Kings County Hospital.
- Participate in internal/external quality assurance, performance improvement activities, departmental meetings, and facility-wide training as needed.
- Involve in processing surgical pathology service management and quality improvement.
- Instruct residents on general surgical pathology and cytopathology.
- Participate in other clinical activities as requested by the service director.
Requirements:
- NY State Medical License.
- Completion of an accredited residency/fellowship in Pathology.
- 1+ years of experience preferred - New graduating residents and fellows are encouraged to apply.
- AP/CP Board Certified or Board Eligible.
Salary: $106.77 per hour
