POSITION SUMMARY

Key Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct geological risk assessments and resource evaluations across diverse play types.
  • Integrate geological, geophysical, and production data to pinpoint opportunities.
  • Create and present geological products that communicate resource potential effectively.
  • Collaborate with reservoir engineers to evaluate the economic viability of prospects.
  • Assist in well planning and guide geosteering personnel on optimal well placement.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting while also being capable of independent work with minimal oversight.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in unconventional resource plays is preferred, particularly in the Delaware Basin.
  • Familiarity with mapping software such as Petra, Geographix, or SMT Kingdom.
  • Skilled in interpreting well logs and petrophysical data.
  • Experienced in producing standard geological documentation.
  • A collaborative team player.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related discipline.

Preferred: Master’s Degree in Geology or Geophysics is highly desirable.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

3-5 years of relevant experience in the upstream oil and gas sector is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily conducted in an office setting. Candidates should be capable of performing tasks that involve typing, sitting, and standing. Visits to operational sites may require the use of personal protective equipment, including headgear, hearing protection, safety glasses, and flame-resistant clothing. Adherence to safety regulations is mandatory.

TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS

10% - 15% travel may be necessary for meetings, training, and field visits.
