Job Summary:
Mercy Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiopulmonary Rehab department. As a Cardiac Rehab Nurse, you will play a vital role in the care and rehabilitation of patients with cardiac and pulmonary conditions.
About the Role:
This is a part-time position, working 8 hours per week, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality care, and we are seeking a nurse who shares our commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized care to patients with cardiac and pulmonary conditions, including those with stents, MI's, CABG, and valve repair/replacements.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Conduct exercise programs and provide education to patients on disease management and self-care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- CPR certification and BLS (Basic Life Support) or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
- Other unit-specific certifications as required.
