Vascular Sonographer

Seeking a highly skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team at Mass General Brigham in Boston, Massachusetts. As a key member of our Diagnostic Laboratory, you will be responsible for performing and documenting vascular studies using non-invasive peripheral vascular ultrasound tests.

This per diem position offers flexible scheduling with up to 8 hours of work per week. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced environment while working closely with our experienced team of healthcare professionals.

• Assess patients to determine their suitability for procedures and review previous examination results
• Obtain medical history from patients and explain testing procedures
• Perform non-invasive peripheral vascular ultrasound tests efficiently and accurately, following established protocols
• Document preliminary results and enter findings into the hospital's electronic medical record system

You will also be responsible for maintaining patient examination rooms, assisting in test scheduling, and promoting the use of laboratory services among medical staff.

• Mandatory qualifications include a college undergraduate degree, certification by the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers), and RVT or RVT eligibility
• Previous experience in diagnostic ultrasound is preferred

A strong understanding of sonographic equipment and ability to learn independently are essential for success in this role.

The normal working conditions involve minimal discomfort due to temperature, noise, etc. However, you may experience stress during busy periods, and there may be some exposure to infectious diseases. Emotional and physical health sufficient to meet the demands of the position are required.
