Job Title: Clinical Nurse IIJob Summary:

The Clinical Nurse II is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall success of our organization. Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and accurately document direct, age-specific care to patients based on medical orders and an integrated, multidisciplinary plan of care.
  • Safely administer prescribed medications, identifying incompatibilities and/or interactions.
  • Assist the healthcare team with the prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort.
  • Recognize changes in patient situations and intervene appropriately.
  • Mobilize resources to meet the individualized needs of patients and families.
  • Provide direction, education, and assume leadership responsibilities at the unit level.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program recognized and/or approved by the corresponding state's Board of Nursing.
  • Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state.
  • 12 to 24 months RN experience.
  • Academic Health Care Experience; Experience with similar patient population in either an acute care setting or as applicable to area of practice.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of a bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) from an accredited program.
  • Certification in specialty area.
Work Environment:

The Clinical Nurse II will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide exceptional care. The ideal candidate will be able to handle multiple priorities, work in a noisy environment, and maintain a steady pace.

Physical Requirements:

The Clinical Nurse II will be required to lift 0-50 lbs, stand for prolonged periods, and walk (distance). The ideal candidate will be able to reach (overhead, extensive, repetitive) and have strong recall, reasoning, problem-solving, hearing, speak clearly, write legibly, reading, and logical thinking skills.
