MICU, Night Shift (7p-7a)

As a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive medical care to a diverse patient population. This role involves independently assessing and treating patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. You will ensure effective management of illnesses and injuries, focusing on prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and gather detailed health histories.
  • Perform age-appropriate assessments and interpret diagnostic tests based on patient needs.
  • Prescribe suitable pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments.
  • Implement interventions to support patients in achieving or maintaining physiological stability.
  • Facilitate transitions of care across various healthcare settings, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Collaborate with team members to make appropriate referrals and enhance patient education.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Master's degree in Nursing

Certification and Licensing:
Valid State of Florida APRN License
Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in critical decision-making.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in completing assignments.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Effective communication skills in both oral and written forms.
