Job Overview:
The role of the Business Analyst is pivotal in aligning technology with business objectives. This position evaluates how new solutions, carrier business regulations, and industry developments impact our clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage projects of varying complexity, providing minimal supervision on more complex assignments.
- Act as a liaison among Business Development, Development, and Quality Assurance teams.
- Serve as the main technical contact for carrier partners and certification teams.
- Facilitate the identification of solutions and the gathering of business and functional requirements that align with business needs in a data-driven environment.
- Conduct application walkthroughs with subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Document existing system assets, including use cases, reports, business processes, and enhancement requirements.
- Assist System Analysts in extracting and documenting application and business rules.
- Collaborate with SMEs to outline modernization strategies for various assets.
- Support project management in compiling project plans and schedules.
- Familiarize with the current data model and assist in developing future data models to meet evolving requirements.
- Design and document future system assets, including use cases, reports, and business processes, incorporating enhancements and updated requirements.
- Compile Change Requests, detailing business and technical specifications, and gather effort estimates from the team.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in requirements gathering and documentation analysis.
- Practical experience with software development tools and the ability to perform basic scripting tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other documentation tools.
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with carrier business regulations and industry standards is preferred.
