Residential Adjunct Instructor

Job Summary:

Rasmussen University is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach in our Nursing program at our Blaine campus. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student learning, and contributing to the development of our Nursing curriculum.

Responsibilities:

• Teach Nursing courses in a dynamic and engaging manner, using effective teaching strategies and multiple teaching techniques.
• Develop and implement curriculum and assessment for your area of expertise.
• Provide student support and outreach, including synchronous and asynchronous communication and meetings to help students achieve learning objectives.
• Attend events, programmatic meetings, and committee work as agreed upon and designated by the Dean.
• Complete a minimum of six (6) Rasmussen Educational Units (REUs) annually or two (2) REUs per quarter for each quarter you teach.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a registered Nurse.
• Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with students, leadership, and peers.
• Excellent written communication and strong verbal communication skills in the English language.
• Active registered nurse license that has never been encumbered.
• Active CPR certification administered by the American Heart Association.
