We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at Radiology Associates of Appleton. As a Physician Assistant, you will work in collaboration with a supervising physician to provide procedure-based radiology services in a hospital practice setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Pre-procedure evaluation and preparation of patients undergoing interventional or other image-guided radiologic procedures
- Assist in the performance of direct patient care services, including inpatient consults, inpatient rounding, and long-term patient follow-up
- Schedule patients for procedures, including pre-authorizations and coordination with other facilities
- Perform physical examinations, determine medical histories, diagnose and treat illnesses and/or injuries
- Develop and implement patient management plans and record progress notes
- Field phone calls from patients, referring physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding patients
- At least 1-year minimum experience as a practicing Mid-Level
- Procedural experience
- Current license and certificate of authority to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the State of Wisconsin
- Graduate of a training program approved by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association (AMA) or American Nursing Association (ANA)
- Board certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- BLS certification required
