Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PACU Nurse to join our team at Ascension Wisconsin. As a PACU Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in the immediate post-operative or post-procedural period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care for anesthetized patients, adhering to aseptic sterile technique and AORN/ASPAN standards.
  • Evaluate patient responses to treatments and interventions, and manage patient pain.
  • Anticipate case-specific needs based on knowledge of procedures performed and pathophysiology.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition.
  • Graduate of a board-approved Registered Nurse Program, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • RN with approximately 18 months or more experience, with a preference for RN candidates with 2 years of PACU or Same Day Surgery experience.
