Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Baptist Health System is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our surgical patients.

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of a licensed physician, the Registered Nurse - Operating Room will be responsible for providing direct patient care, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including vital sign monitoring, wound care, and medication administration.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the physician.
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse or currently eligible for state board certification.
  • Completion of peri-anesthesia or critical care internship/training course (preferred).
  • BLS certification required for all areas.
  • ACLS certification required for Surgery Services.
