Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Perioperative Unit at Geisinger Health. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Salary:
$37.04 per hour with increased rates for experienced individuals and up to $7 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts, plus a hiring incentive up to $26,000 for eligible candidates.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, and providing nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This will include:
  • Conducting pre-operative assessments to identify potential risks and develop individualized care plans
  • Providing post-operative care, including wound management, pain control, and monitoring vital signs
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals


Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a current RN license in Pennsylvania, Basic Life Support certification, and a minimum of 2 years of related work experience. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred, but not required.
