About the Position

Serve as a Construction Manager (CM) for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Construction Division. As a key point of contact and coordinator between the field office and District elements, you will oversee construction contracts and budgets for assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee construction contracts and budgets, including workload projections and staffing analysis.
  • Monitor budget expenditures and Supervision and Administration (S&A) performance.
  • Formulate pre-award budgets and perform Liquidated Damages calculations.
  • Evaluate construction contracts financial and schedule information to ensure compliance with financial processes.
  • Provide financial guidance to field personnel and ensure disbursements occur on time and from the correct line of accounting.
Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must have a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least one year of specialized experience in utilizing and applying policies, procedures, methodologies, and regulations related to budgetary/financial processes for large multimillion-dollar complex construction projects.

You must also have experience in managing and overseeing construction contract budget formulation, monitoring budget expenditures, and performing Liquidated Damages calculations.

Additionally, you must have experience in evaluating construction contracts financial and schedule information to ensure compliance with financial processes.

As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

You will work closely with the field office and District elements to ensure that all construction projects are properly managed and executed.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a deep understanding of construction management principles and practices.
