Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Manager to lead our laboratory operations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities1. Leadership and Management:
Develop, direct, and manage operational activities within the laboratory to effectively meet company objectives.
2. Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure the laboratory maintains applicable accreditation to demonstrate compliance with Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) for patient care and nursing.
3. Budgeting and Financial Management:
Work collaboratively with the finance team to develop and implement the department budget in conjunction with established goals and objectives.
4. Process Improvement:
Lead and participate in task forces and councils to develop and implement processes, procedures, and programs to increase operational efficiency, compliance, and effectiveness.
5. Communication and Liaison:
Serve as a resource and communication liaison by facilitating timely and accurate dissemination of information to staff and clients.
RequirementsEducation:
Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
Experience:
Four (4) years' training and experience in high-complexity testing in the respective specialty.
Supervisory Experience:
Two (2) years' supervisory experience.
Preferred QualificationsEducation:
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
Certifications:
MLS or Specialty Certification.
Additional Qualifications:
Additional related education and/or experience.
