Travel Nursing Opportunity for Progressive Care Unit RN

Travel Nurse Across America is seeking a travel nurse to fill a PCU - Progressive Care Unit position in Flushing, New York. We are offering a competitive salary package based on 8 hour shifts and 34 hours per week.
About the JobWe're looking for experienced RNs to care for patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment but not unstable enough to need ICU care. The right candidate should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience and possess good skills for coping with stress and relating to people of all ages and backgrounds.
The ideal candidate will be able to provide basic bedside care, stabilize critical cardiac patients, change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs, prepare administer and record prescribed medication, and monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients. They must also initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
Requirements- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- 2 Years of experience
- Guaranteed Pay: No pay penalty if hospital calls off set amount of shifts
- Paid Sick Leave: Accrue sick leave from first day and eligible to use after 90 days
- Travel Reimbursement: Up to $1,000 in travel expense reimbursement
