Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field visits to support troubleshooting efforts.
  • Assist in field investigations to create and document technical scopes for repairs and modifications.
  • Support Fitness-For-Service evaluations to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
  • Help develop engineering work packages for maintenance activities, including specifications and drawings.
  • Update technical drawings and documents for plant equipment.
  • Gather and enter data into spreadsheets from engineering files or equipment verification.
  • Engage with machinery vendors for necessary information.
  • Participate in field supervision of maintenance and project activities.
  • Utilize predictive maintenance tools to assess machinery conditions.
  • Assist in creating notifications and purchase requests within the ERP system.

Candidate Profile:

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • A valid US Driver's License is required for this role.
  • Previous experience is an asset.
  • Commitment to safe work practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Availability to start work as specified.

Educational Requirements:

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Preference for students in their 3rd or 4th year.
  • Availability for multiple work terms is advantageous.
  • Strong academic performance is essential.
  • Ability to commit to a full-time schedule during the work term.
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program or co-op/internship program.
  • New graduates are not eligible for student positions.

Working Conditions:

  • May involve travel, sitting, standing, computer work, lifting, and site work.

Safety Considerations:

  • This role is safety-sensitive, requiring adherence to safety protocols and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • A valid US Driver's License with no restrictions is mandatory.
