Role Summary

Lapeer Plating & Plastics, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-quality automotive components, is in search of dedicated individuals with a strong commitment to continuous improvement to fill the role of Automotive Component Coating Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily manufacturing tasks including inspection, coating, and packaging of plastic and chrome-plated automotive parts.
  • Utilize spray equipment to apply coatings and maintain cleanliness of tools and work areas.
  • Inspect finished products for quality assurance and report any discrepancies.
  • Assist in the operation of mask washers and small machinery as needed.
  • Handle materials efficiently, ensuring proper loading and movement to workstations.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment by adhering to all safety protocols.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in automotive painting or related coating applications.
  • Ability to identify and rectify defects in coatings and surfaces.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and possess reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to engage in training for various coating processes.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 60 lbs and maintain constant movement throughout the shift.
Work Schedule
  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
  • Overtime may be required, including Saturdays or extended hours.
