Job Summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a skilled Container Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our container fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform welding, cutting, grinding, and mechanical repair tasks on container equipment.
  • Conduct compliance and safety inspections to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on company-owned equipment and correct any deficiencies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to shop housekeeping and building maintenance obligations.
  • Apply paint or similar coatings to equipment using various techniques and tools.
  • Perform fabrication, cutting, and welding on roll-off containers.
  • Log all necessary entries of time and materials into electronic repair order systems.
  • Ensure company trucks are kept clean, tidy, and free of hazards at all times.
Requirements
  • Welding (MIG & Stick) and mechanical experience in a fabrication/repair shop environment.
  • Experience performing flat welding with steel is preferred.
  • Successful completion of Structural Welding test.
  • Welding Certification is considered an asset.
  • Ability and willingness to wear a respirator, must be clean-shaven.
  • Valid driver's license and clean 3-year driving record are required.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test upon hire.
