Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and reconcile designated general ledger accounts
  • Establish new general ledger accounts, account strings, and budget allocations
  • Manage accounting and reconciliations related to patient care
  • Collaborate with patient care divisions to enhance financial processes and reporting
  • Maintain records of fixed assets, systems, and general ledger accounts
  • Review and record payroll accounting entries
  • Reconcile investment accounts and prepare necessary audit schedules
  • Compile schedules and gather information for independent auditors
  • Act as a financial liaison for a diverse group of leaders assessing updates
  • Assist with third-party reporting, including IRS forms
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls while promoting continuous improvement in processes and documentation
  • Foster strong relationships with various departments across the institution and health clinics

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts
  • Financial management and analytical capabilities
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Proficiency in computer-based general ledger systems and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Preferred experience in higher education, non-profit, or patient care sectors
