Department Overview:
Good Samaritan Society Albert Lea Assisted Living offers supportive living and senior housing services to a community of residents.
This full-time position involves working primarily during the day, with rotating weekends and holidays. Candidates must possess a valid RN license in Minnesota and have a minimum of one to two years of nursing experience in a clinical environment.
Job Summary:The role integrates healthcare for residents from pre-admission through post-discharge. This is achieved through the coordination and sequencing of care, enhancing resident flow and fostering interdisciplinary communication to promote early intervention. The position evaluates outcomes based on established clinical, financial, and utilization data.
The RN will function in various healthcare settings, utilizing independent nursing judgment and age-specific care methodologies, including protocols and standards of care. Responsibilities include interviewing potential residents, assessing compliance with regulations, and ensuring all residents meet assisted living qualifications as outlined in the occupancy agreement.
Key Responsibilities:1. Establish and evaluate service plans for residents on an ongoing basis.
2. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
3. Monitor and assess patient/resident responses using structured care methodologies.
4. Demonstrate fiscal responsibility by controlling variances and duplication.
5. Exhibit independence, assertiveness, and critical thinking in patient care.
6. Document care clearly and solve problems efficiently.
7. Adapt teaching principles to meet the needs of various age groups.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred, along with graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program. Candidates should hold an unencumbered RN license in the state of practice and maintain required competencies and certifications.
