Job Summary

Under the direction of the department Manager and supervision of an RN, performs a variety of non-professional nursing duties supporting the direct care of patients. This position will also provide continuous observation and monitoring of patients at high risk of causing injury to self or others during their hospital stay.

Responsibilities
  • Performs a variety of non-professional nursing duties supporting the direct care of patients.
  • Provides continuous observation and monitoring of patients at high risk of causing injury to self or others during their hospital stay.
  • Safely performs a variety of patient care tasks.
Requirements
  • Current CNA certification with Nevada State Board of Nursing.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in acute care setting.
  • If hired after 8/6/2023, must successfully complete Non-Violent Crisis intervention within six (6) months of hire or position entry.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year experience in critical care setting Medical Oncology/Float Pool.
