Key Responsibilities

As an Experienced Lineman, your primary duties will include the installation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical transmission and distribution systems, both overhead and underground. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Utilizing line trucks, aerial lifts, and wire pulling equipment for maintenance tasks.
  • Climbing poles and working from bucket trucks to construct, repair, or maintain electrical lines.
  • Operating switches and grounding devices on de-energized lines.
  • Possessing knowledge of transformer wiring.
  • Providing training and guidance to less experienced team members.
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a formal training program for Journeyman Lineman.
  • Successful review of skills and experience by the examining board, including passing required testing.
  • Hot stick training and relevant experience.
  • A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.

Note: This position requires a physical capacity screening to ensure candidates meet the job's physical demands.

Physical Requirements

The role of a Lineman involves:

  • Lifting and carrying loads exceeding 75 lbs.
  • Performing tasks that require sustained awkward positions.
  • Manipulating large and small objects during various activities.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Journeyman Lineman.
