Project Scientist Position in Medicine-Pediatrics

The Division of General Internal Medicine & Health Services Research, Medicine-Pediatrics Section, in the Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA invites applications for a Project Scientist position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full rank.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Med-Peds projects related to disability and autism research, including the Autism Research Intervention Network on Physical Health (AIR-P).
  • Contribute to the National Coordinating Center's research infrastructure, such as the AIR-P Scholars Program, Infrastructure for Collaborative Research (ICR), and mentor staff research associates.
  • Recruit and review applicants for the AIR-P grant program, support the start-up and design of new studies, and facilitate data collection and analysis activities.
Requirements:
  • M.D. and/or Ph.D. required.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated autism research experience in a research institution.
  • Familiarity with federal grants processes.
  • Proficient in quantitative research and data analysis, with experience in building and maintaining translational research databases.
  • Demonstrated experience in interdisciplinary collaborations, working in teams, and co-leading projects with autistic and neurodivergent scientists.
What We Offer:

A competitive salary range of $74,100 - $195,000, depending on experience.
