Job Title: Addiction Counselor

Gundersen Lutheran Administrative is seeking a skilled Addiction Counselor to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate Addiction Counselor to provide assessment, treatment, and support to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping others.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify treatment needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to patients, focusing on coping skills, relapse prevention, and recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
  • Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in addiction treatment.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Behavioral Health or related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience in addiction treatment, preferably in an outpatient setting.
  • Current licensure as a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) or Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC) in the state of practice.
Work Environment:

This position is credentialed by the Credentialing Services Department and requires regular and predictable attendance. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing high-quality care to patients.
