We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Specialist to join our team at Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers. As a key member of our oncology team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to individuals undergoing cancer treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Administer chemotherapy and other medications under the direction of a physician
- Maintain knowledge of drug reimbursement procedures and complete all necessary charge forms
- Ensure pre-authorization and consent forms are obtained prior to treatment
- Facilitate dose modification and assess patient needs
- Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central lines
- Administer medications using correct technique and document patient care
- Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred
- RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum two years nursing experience, oncology experience preferred
